Snap Cymru is a Children and Families charity based in local offices across Wales. Trained staff and volunteers work with children and young people, their families and professionals, providing a range of services to enhance the education of people in Wales. We work within the Special Educational Needs/Additional Learning Needs field, dealing with issues which hinder individual learning and development, e.g. learning difficulty, disability. SNAP Cymru provide accurate information, advice and support on a range of issues, including assessments, statements, bullying, school attendance, exclusion, health and social care. Other services we provide include Advocacy, Parent Partnership, Pupil Participation, Disagreement Resolution, and Training for young people, parents and professionals. SNAP Cymru provides information about the law as it affects children and young people in relation to additional learning needs, SEN/Disability. Telephone support and signposting service, casework, support for tribunals, help with representation. SNAP Cymru also offers a Disagreement Resolution Service: - for families who may have lodged an appeal to the Special Education Needs Tribunal (see code of practice 2002).
