Today we are still a user-led organisation, run by people with experience of living with anxiety, stress or anxiety-based depression, supported by a high-profile medical advisory panel. Anxiety UK is a member of the Association of Mental Health Providers. We work to relieve and support those living with anxiety and anxiety-based depression by providing information, support and understanding via an extensive range of services, including 1:1 therapy. We can provide support and help if youíve been diagnosed with, or suspect you may have an anxiety condition. We can also help you deal with specific phobias such as fear of spiders, blushing, vomiting, being alone, public speaking, heights Ė in fact, any fear thatís stopped you from getting on with your life. We also have a list of AUK Approved Self-Help groups. Anxiety UK is a membership based charity provided a range of benefits to individuals including reduced-cost therapy, as well as specialist helplines including psychiatric pharmacy helpline. We provide Counselling, CBT, Clinical Hypnotherapy and Acupuncture, and have therapist all over the country. However you are also able to access Counselling and CBT over the phone or via webcam. Individuals can contact us for information and guidance regarding support for anxiety disorders, anxiety based depression and phobias. People can access our information and guidance services via infoline, text, email and live chat. Membership to access our services costs £30 for a year and includes a range of benefits such as: reduced cost therapy, special email and helpline support, years free subscription to headspace, access to the members area of our website and a subscription to our magazine, the Anxious Times.
