Description:Journeys sole purpose is to help people find their route to recovery from depression. We take a holistic approach to overcoming depression through guided self-help, building the foundations for sustainable long-term wellbeing. Journeys provides information, peer support groups, one-to one counselling and training that promote the development of skills and strategies to help people find their own route to recovery. We offer support and understanding to people affected by depression, their friends, families and carers. We run counselling in Cardiff. However there is a waiting list. We currently have a five to six month waiting list for counselling. We also run a peer support groups which you can access immediately. Our Cardiff group, STEPPING STONES meets at our Albany Road office in Cardiff. They meet every Tuesday 6.00pm to 8.00pm. This is a small group and we aim to increase members to no more than 12. We ask those using the peer support group for the first time to arrive half an hour early to meet the group facilitators. Barry Groups. We currently have two groups in Barry. SMILE meets Tuesdays between 11.00am to 1.00pm in Golau Caredig (Hafod Bullding), Broad Street, Barry, CF62 7AZ.
