Description:
The Silent Solution system – overseen by the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) - enables a 999 mobile caller who are unable to make a noise or speak, to press 55 when prompted to inform police they are in a genuine emergency. If you’re in danger, call 999, listen and respond to questions and instructions and make yourself heard by coughing, tapping the handset or once prompted by the automated system, by pressing 55. Police will do their best to respond.
