Primary and Specialist Secondary Care CAMHS are Welsh NHS mental health services that focus on the mental health needs of children and young people. We are a team of mental health professionals who work with children aged 0 -until their 18th Birthday. We have experience of working with young children and their families who may be experiencing a range of emotional, behavioural and mental health problems. Wrexham CAMHS is a multi-disciplinary team that consists of: Psychiatrists Psychologists Social Workers Registered Nurses Occupational Therapists Psychological Therapists Primary Mental Health Workers Specialist liaison workers for Substance Misuse, Youth Justice and Looked After Children Nurse Prescribers Referrals from Primary Agencies such as GPs, Health Visitors, School Doctors, Social Services, Education and Voluntary Agencies accepted. CAMHS does not accept self referrals and appointments are necessary. Early Intervention, Prevention and Promotion Services (EIPPS) work closely with other services and education providers in the local community to provide training and consultation
