Not a helpline DUK provides support and encouragement to those whose chief problem is depression as well as concerned family and friends. The group encourages self help and mutual support and offers newsletters, pen friends, and internet chat. There are no paid staff or office as it is run by volunteers. There are two types of members, postal membership which is £10 per annum and an email membership which is free. We are all volunteers and work from home. We therefore have no specific opening times or closing times but we are, effectively, open all the time.
