Ty Llidiard provides inpatient care for young people with severe mental illness. The unit is part of the CAMHS Network within Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board. There are 2 wards within the unit general and extra care. The unit can admit young people between the ages of 12-18 years from South, East, West and Wales. Referrals are accepted from CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrists. Young people admitted include those suffering from anorexia nervosa, psychosis, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder and severe depression. Referrals are not accepted where the primary problem is disordered conduct, violence, alcohol or drug misuse. The unit is also unable to accept young people with a significant level of learning disability. There is also an Outreach Eating Disorder Service, again accepting referrals only from other CAMHS consultants. Covers South Powys
